Chrysin belongs to a class of chemicals called flavonoids. It occurs naturally in plants and substances such as the passionflower, silver linden, and some geranium species; and in honey and bee propolis.
Chrysin possesses potent neuroprotective effects and suppress neuroinflammation. In addition, chrysin improves cognitive decline and possesses a potent anti-amyloidogenic and neurotrophic effects.
It is often used for bodybuilding, for treating anxiety, inflammation, and gout.
